Using Dates
The Date field is a powerful setting to determine "when" your data is displayed. There are typically three ways Date is used.

  • Creation Date - Whenever a new record is generated, the current date is automatically set in the Date Field. This could be called the Creation Date as it is generated on creation of the record. Creation Dates are useful to keep a record of when a record was generated. It can also work well for lists that show by most current record.
  • Display On Date - Whenever you see the date field labeled Display On Date, the date field will set when the record you are creating will be displayed. Setting the date to a future point in time will hide the record till that date is reached. Once the date is reached, the record will be available to view.
